Chambers County Grand Prix Race Report

The Chambers County Grand Prix was a phenomenal race. It was a beautiful day for a Greenpower race. There were about 22 teams there in all, high school and middle school. Four heats occured that kept everybody busy.

Wetumpka High won in the Advanced Kit category, while Bob Jones Blue won in the Advanced Modified category. Bob Jones Red was first in the Advanced Custom, as well. Moving on to Intermediate sections, in Kit class, the Gulf Shores Turbo Dolphins dominated the scores. In the Modified class, Cougar Strong Racing #000 team was the winner.

All through the day, even though is was boiling hot, the teams had fun and enjoyed the race.  As the Awards came near, the teams were exhausted from the hard days work. Although, there was excitement to see who came out on top. Even though the day was long, in the end, the race was a success!
